Residency Summary

Hiroshi Nakada presented a public talk on inter-urban diplomacy proposal in Japan, as well as guest lectured in class and met with student leaders. He also met with San Diego Japanese community leaders and groups. While visiting, he took the opportunity to run in the chancellor's annual 5K run supporting scholarships on campus.

Biography

Before becoming a mayor, Nakada served three terms as a member of the House of Representatives in Japan where he served on various committees including the Audit Committee, Budget Committee, Cabinet Committee and Communications Committee. He holds a degree in economics from Aoyama Gakuin University.
